Tomato Basil Bagel Melt

This simple open faced sandwich melt features a bagel topped with tomatoes, basil, and melted cheese

Ingredients
  • 1 Bagel
  • 3oz Cream Cheese - softened
  • 6 Large Fresh Basil Leaves
  • 1 Tomato
  • 2 slices Provolone Cheese
  • ¼ tsp Dried Basil
Instructions
  1. Preheat Oven to 350
  2. Slice bagel in half and place on a baking sheet
  3. Bake for 6 minutes
  4. Meanwhile, slice tomatoes and rinse and trim basil
  5. Spread cream cheese on the face of each bagel half
  6. Arrange basil leaves to cover the face of each bagel half
  7. Cut tomato slices in half
  8. Arrange tomatoes to cover the face of each bagel half
  9. Add a slice of provolone to each bagel half
  10. Top with dried basil
  11. Bake for 12 minutes
