There are just so many cute, easy, and inexpensive ways to dress up your Valentine’s Day desserts… This is the second in a series of DIY Valentine toppers…. a fun, whimsical flag topper!
For this topper, the possibilities are endless! Add one flag… or four! Choose a variety of Washi Tapes in complimenting colors, sizes, and prints. This topper is all about fun!
What you’ll need:
- Cake Pop Sticks
- Washi Tapes
- Scissors
1. For each stick, choose the layout and number of Washi Tapes you want to use.
2. Cut lengths of each Washi Tape (twice as long as you want your finished flag)
3. Fold the tape in half around the top of the stick. For toppers with multiple flags, start at the top and add each below.
4. Trim the flags. Depending on your preference, you can leave a straight edge, or cut a V. For the sticks with multiple flags, I like to trim each flag at a different length.
5. Insert sticks into cupcakes
