As the bride, you want a look that represents your style, yet is appropriate for the occasion. I struggled with this as a bride who choose to wear white, but was determined to incorporate Victorian Gothic elements into my day. A few months ago, I wrote an article on How to Add Black Accessories to a Traditional White Dress, and it got me thinking. On my wedding day, I chose simple black heels with a Victorian detail… I liked the shoes.. but if I could do it all over again I think I’d choose something with a bit more drama…. which is what sparked this list…
Now… many of you goth girls have plenty of shoes in your closet…. chunky boots, spiked platforms, and buckles galore…. But I am going to venture to say that on your wedding day, it may be a nice change to wear something with some dark glamour instead. So for this list, I purposely put the spikes aside (they’d get caught up in your dress anyway)…. and put together a list of 10 gorgeous shoes inspired by a mix of Victorian Gothic, Steampunk, Macabre, and simple dark elegance.
